No Street Art - Exhibition "Faces of the World"
Street Artist NÔ is committed to representing human beings in their diversity, dignity and beauty. Let's travel through the artist's world in this exhibition.
NÔ was born in 1981 in Seine Saint Denis. He is an urban artist and graphic novelist who lives between the Lot and the Paris region.
The Artist, after obtaining a Master's degree in 2005, taught foreign languages and social sciences. Over the following fourteen years, his career as a teacher allowed him to travel the world with his backpack and sketchbook.
NÔ sketches hundreds of portraits of the people he meets along the way, drawing joy, suffering, poverty and injustice across the four continents.
Back in France in 2019, the Artist developed the technique of stencil and spray paint, which allows him to paint on city walls the multitude of faces he has encountered around the world: peoples in struggle, Roma, Native Americans, children of the global south, all of them. All those who resist, everywhere and always, oppression and violence.
Gradually, his portraits lead him towards a broader poetic universe exploring themes of childhood, wonder, the quest for freedom, and the countless bonds that unite humans and the rest of the living world.
NÔ, mural after mural, is committed to representing human beings in their diversity, dignity and beauty.
