LeYack - Between Shadow and Light, Elegance Reinvented

Posted on: Thursday, May 23, 2024

Discover a brand new collection from the Artist, focused on feminine elegance and drawing on a variety of influences such as Tamara de Lempicka and American painting of the 1960s, notably Edward Hopper.

Born in 1972, Leyack is also an artistic director in publishing, a dual role that enriches his creative approach. He uses his artistic knowledge to create works in which the nature of the compositions plays with chiaroscuro and artificial light, illuminating the bodies. Leyack's new collection is a tribute to women and their timeless elegance. Each painting invites deep reflection on solitude and metaphysical thought, central themes of his work. By revisiting classical aesthetics and weaving them into a modern context, Leyack manages to capture moments of grace and fleeting beauty. His women, often wrapped in a mysterious aura, evoke sometimes direct references to famous paintings, sometimes original interpretations. Leyack produces a few original works each year that meet with great success in galleries, notably in Paris, Aix-en-Provence and Orléans. His paintings, released in limited editions of ten copies, are also sought after on the international market, testifying to the universal appeal of his art. The juxtaposition of styles and eras in his work creates a unique dynamic, where each piece becomes a conversation between past and present. Through his creations, Leyack invites us to explore the delicate balance between shadow and light, revealing a feminine elegance imbued with complexity and depth. Not to be missed, Leyack's collection offers an artistic journey between shadow and light, celebrating the beauty and timelessness of women.
