Baldassare, "Frénésie et Matière"
Poetic vision of the 3rd Millennium.
The Artist writes, paints, draws, sings, creates audio and video installations, makes digital art: he lives in his visions of parallel universes and his characters of the world of possibilities.
His art, direct and deeply emotional, is marked by a duality as frenetic as paralyzing. Here comes an essential element for the artist: spiritulity, introspection at the service of another reality, its unique reality.
As frantic as they are fleshly, MANUEL BALDASSARE’s paintings recount his visions of parallel universes through nature, distant horizons and the figure of the human crushed by a world smoothed by the machine. Conscious of their shadows, but unable to illuminate them, the characters in his works are constantly searching for a confused identity that eludes them.
The impulsiveness of the gesture, the frenzy of expressing what he has inside him, with an instinctive painting that directly touches the one who looks, without going through the precocious structures of academicism, to go beyond a time when technique consumes human feeling and interaction.
